Our 40ft sailing catamaran, Ameera, is a delightful tribute to the owner's daughter. Ameera is modelled after the Tigresse and is a perfect choice for intimate corporate functions and yacht parties, accommodating up to 38 passengers. Experience the epitome of luxury and romance with a sunset cruise along the stunning coastline, accompanied by local sparkling wines.
Our competent and qualified crew comprises a skipper, one deck hand, and a hostess or barman who expertly handles drinks and catering for guests. Safety is paramount, and we strictly adhere to the compulsory SAMSA regulations and safety standards set by the maritime authorities. Our safety equipment includes life rafts, life jackets, and 2-way radios.
We take pride in our maximum capacity of 38 passengers, ensuring that each guest enjoys the ultimate sailing experience aboard the beautiful Ameera.
Ameera offers an onboard cash/bar option with a beverage list that includes local beers, wines, sparkling wines, and soft drinks. Guests are welcome to bring their own wines or champagne, with a corkage fee of R50 per bottle. However, no other alcoholic beverages or soft drinks are permitted without prior written agreement. Additionally, you can arrange a bar tab or a welcome drink for your guests in advance. Alternatively, if you prefer to provide your own drinks, a corkage fee of R2,000 will be charged.
There are various menu options ranging from snack platters, cocktail dishes, lavish dishes, vegetarian options and sushi platters, which can be arranged at an additional cost, with a 2-week notice period.
You are more than welcome to arrange your own catering.
A 10% service charge is charged on the food and drinks.
Onboard sound system with USB connection is available, should you wish to bring your own music.
We have numerous DJs on our supplier list and are happy to facilitate that for you. Cape Town based Singer/Entertainer details available on request.
You are welcome to supply your own DJ, however they will need to bring their own equipment and speakers.
We offer cash and card options for our onboard bar, as well as braai facilities, a toilet, trampoline, and roof covering. Enjoy music and relax on our padded seating with blankets provided.
We prioritise safety onboard, providing lifejackets, a safety raft, safety rings, radio, flares, and adhering to the strict SAMSA regulations.
The picturesque route departs from Granger Bay, passing the iconic lighthouse and Sea Point before reaching Clifton Beach. Enjoy breath-taking views of Table Mountain and the Twelve Apostles. Weather and sea conditions may prompt the skipper to explore other areas. Ultimately, the skipper's decision is final.
The cruising time and course are subject to weather conditions and the skipper's discretion. Our top priority is the safety of you and your guests.
As for activities, you can choose to add on water sports such as jet skiing, kayaking, and inflatable stand-up paddle boards (SUPs) along with their respective paddles.
